Terms of Service

IFC Builder provides tools to generate, view, and export building information models in IFC (including IFC 4 and IFC2X3) and related formats, including AI-assisted generation from natural language, integrated viewing, chat-based refinement, and file export (such as STEP and DXF where offered). Features may change; we do not guarantee any particular output schema revision, performance level, or uptime.

You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you use sign-in, you are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use if support channels are available.

• You will not misuse the Service, probe or circumvent security, or overload infrastructure.
• You will not use the Service to violate law, infringe others’ rights, or upload malware or unlawful content.
• You will not reverse engineer the Service except where mandatory law allows, or scrape the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide license to host, process, transmit, display, and create derivative technical outputs (such as generated IFC or scripts) solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent you have the rights needed to submit your content.

Outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for your project. The Service does not replace qualified structural, civil, or other professional engineering or design review. You are solely responsible for verifying models, loads, codes, safety, and fitness for purpose before use in design, construction, or operations. IFC Builder is not liable for decisions based on AI-generated or exported content.

The Service may interoperate with third-party tools (e.g. BIM applications). Your use of those tools is subject to their terms. References to IFC standards (e.g. ISO 16739) describe interoperability goals and do not imply certification or endorsement by standards bodies.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IFC BUILDER AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100), IF NO FEES WERE PAID. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.

You will defend and indemnify IFC Builder and its affiliates against third-party claims and liabilities arising from your content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of law.

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that risks the Service or others, or for repeated breach. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date or as required by law. Continued use after changes may constitute acceptance.

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in the place of our principal establishment have non-exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory law requires a different venue.
